MASK POLICY

Mask Policy for Quarter 1 After School Enrichment 2022

As the pandemic has run its course over the past two years, so too have our policies and protocols at school evolved to respond to conditions as we find them.  Given the sharp decline in the number of local cases (and cases among our students and staff) and the continued availability of vaccinations, we have now reached a point to move on to our next iteration of protocols.

Masks

We will be mask-optional from PK3 – 6thgrade.

 Positive Cases and Contact Tracing

Students and staff who test positive must isolate and inform Nurse Michelle.  If, after 5 days, they are not experiencing any symptoms, they may return to school with a mask.

Students who are exposed to test-positive individuals:

  • Families will be informed of each exposure to a test-positive individual.

  • Students who are symptomatic after exposure are required to stay home, test, and share the results with Nurse Michelle.

  • For students who are asymptomatic after exposure, each family can choose their response.  The school recommends testing and communicating those results with us.

As ever, we will continue to work to keep our students and environment safe and productive.  We will continue to follow our established hand sanitizing and cohorting procedures.  We will continue to monitor the progress of the pandemic and we will respond as the situation warrants.

Thank you very much for being part of our community.

Sincerely,

Mark Heller
